East Beach (Golden Cap side of the river) does not have restrictions. West Beach (Lyme Regis side of the river) only allows dogs between October and April, stretching as far as the bridge at the end of the promenade. Beyond this, towards Lyme Regis, dogs are allowed on leads all year round.

The best car park in Charmouth for the Golden Cap Hike is ‘Beach Car Park’ right on the coast and right on the coastal footpath. An alternative car park which is slightly up the road and back from the beach but one that may be quieter is ‘Lower Sea Lane Car Park’.
Can you walk to the beach from Blue Dolphin?
About. For a clifftop location you can’t do much better than a stay at Blue Dolphin. Just a few miles from the North York Moors, our park looks out over Gristhorpe Bay; you can follow the clifftop walk down to the popular beach and tourist town of Filey.

Haven Entertainment and Facility Passes allow your entire party access to the indoor family entertainment centre housing the clubs, bars and food courts. You will also receive full access to the indoor and outdoor heated pools, kids and teen clubs, and the day and evening entertainment.
Is Lulworth Castle dog friendly?
Dogs are welcome into the Park, but must remain on leads due to the livestock. Only assistance dogs are allowed into Lulworth Castle, the Chapel and Church.
Can dogs go in Corfe Castle?
Dogs are very welcome. Please keep your dogs on a short lead and dispose of any waste in the bins provided.

Do you have to book swimming at Blue Dolphin?
As the capacities of the venues remain at a reduced level to support social distancing please remember to book your table & swimming in advance to avoid disappointment.
Is swimming free at Haven?
There is no booking required for anyone wanting to swim in our standalone outdoor pools*, or for those swimming indoors after 6pm on Fridays and Saturdays. In October half term free flow swimming after 6pm will be available every day.
Can you use haven facilities if not staying there?
I’m very sorry but we don’t sell day passes to anyone who is not staying on the park. This is to make sure our paying guests and owners have access to all of our facilities.
Is Durdle Door dog friendly?
Can I take my dog to Brownsea Island?
Due to high fire risk, no barbeques or fires are allowed on the island at any time. Dogs are not permitted, with the exception of assistance dogs who must be clearly identifiable. Please keep Brownsea beautiful by taking your rubbish home with you.
