For Local Post Office branches, your Post Office should be open if your retail business is open on a Bank Holiday. If you are a Main Post Office branch, you are contracted to open your Post Office at the combined retail counter a during your retail business opening hours on a Bank Holiday.

Can old stamps still be used?
Any stamps which are pre-decimalisation are not eligible for swap out — as they don’t have a postage value. Non-barcoded stamps are still valid as postage until 31 January 2023 — and you can continue to use these stamp between now and then to avoid the need for you to swap them out.
