Are wastes colorless mana?
I want to emphasize this point: the mana generated by Wastes is just colorless mana. It works exactly like any other mana source that generates colorless mana, so it does not count for Sunburst, or Converge, or anything else that counts colors. If you copy the mana with Doubling Cube, you get regular colorless mana.
How does Sol ring work?
Sol Ring is an inherently broken card. It offers colorless mana acceleration with zero drawback, leading to explosive starts. These openers tilt the balance of the game at a very early point. Two-drop mana rocks are also commonly played, so power ramps exponentially.
Is a snow covered land a basic land?
Don’t let it confuse you. Your [[Snow-covered Mountain]] is both a basic land and a card with the type Mountain. It is affected by all spells and rules that care about basic lands like [[Cultivate]] or care about mountains like [[Scalding Tarn]]. You may put more than 4 in your deck because it’s a basic land.
Can you cast kozilek?
Kozilek’s casting cost is a total of 10 mana. Now, 8 of that mana can come from any land – Forests, Plains, Swamps, Islands, Mountains, and even the new Wastes. Two of the ten mana, however, has to specifically come from the sources that specifically make colorless mana.
How many non basic lands can you have?

Nonbasic lands are lands that do not have the basic supertype. As per Magic rules, only 4 of each nonbasic land can be in a deck at any one time. Basic lands do not have this restriction.
Can you discard a land to kozilek?
Yes. You would need to discard a card with 0 cmc such as a land or lotus pedal.
Can colorless mana be used as any color?
Generic mana means, quite literally, any mana, from any source. Colorless mana, however is not any color, and cannot be any color.
Can you tap artifacts first turn?
Yes, as long as it’s not a creature. Only creatures are affected by summoning sickness. If March of the Machines was in play or Ratchet Bomb became a creature by other means, you wouldn’t be able to tap it if it came under your control that turn. Otherwise, it can tap immediately.
