How many Siser EasyWeed colors are there?
Right off the bat, we can see that there are 6 EasyWeed colors. Someone new to the industry or someone from a print background would probably start with a solid black background and layer the colors on top. For desktop printing purposes, this would be perfectly acceptable.
What is the difference between Siser EasyWeed and Siser EasyWeed stretch?
EasyWeed Stretch is the thinnest out of the entire family at only 85 microns thick! It’s similar to standard EasyWeed, but has a softer feel and a matte finish, in comparison to a semi-gloss finish (that standard EasyWeed offers).

Why is my Siser EasyWeed peeling?

Why is my Siser HTV peeling?
Adding more and more pressing time to your design is going to begin to dry out the HTV, which makes it more susceptible to cracking and peeling. For most Siser materials, a 3-5 second press is enough to tack a layer down, but with products in the EasyWeed family you can get away with a 1 second tack!
Do you let vinyl cool before peeling?
I prefer to let my items cool before peeling away the carrier sheet. If you don’t have time to wait for it to fully cool, wait at least 20-30 seconds and then peel away a small corner to check. You don’t want to risk peeling off the heat transfer vinyl while it’s still hot.
What happens if you over press HTV?
Pressing or ironing for too long can have the same effect. HTV works by using a heat activated adhesive so too little time and it won’t heat enough to stick. Too long and it can actually burn the adhesive off.
Do you mirror Siser EasyWeed HTV?
Your design/text should appear backwards before it’s ready to cut. The only HTV that does not require you to mirror is our EasyPatterns® and print and cut materials (with an exception when it comes to ColorPrint™ Soft Opaque.)

Why is my heat transfer vinyl peeling after washing?
The iron on vinyl for shirts fall off when washing letters will happen more in the drye because the heat inside the machine can soften the fusible used in decorative applications. It is possible that these items were not properly cleaned before adding the design to the garment.
What happens if you overheat HTV?
The time and temperature recommendations of HTV manufacturers come from extensive testing. Since they make it, they know what they’re talking about. Using a higher temperature or a longer press time will actually keep the adhesive from doing its job in the long run. It will weaken it, or even cause it to evaporate.

First things first, the most common reason your HTV may not be sticking to your shirt, sweater or whatever else you’re applying it to may be because you’re not using enough pressure. And pressure is important. Without it, your HTV projects may not be as long lasting as you would like.
