What is EAP base Grant?
Educational Assistance Program Base (EAP Base Grant) is for eligible CNMI residence enrolled fulltime and meet the requirements pursuing an undergraduate degree or a trade/vocational certificate.
How long does EAP last?
These EAP sessions are typically shorter than a typical therapy appointment, usually ranging between 25 and 40 minutes long (rather than closer to an hour in duration). Although sessions would be slightly shorter, you can still benefit a lot from each session!

The EAP placement tests measure a student’s skills in these areas: reading, writing, listening, and vocabulary. The tests place non-native English speakers into EAP courses at NHCC. All courses in the EAP program are designed to help students succeed in the United States’ higher education system.

How do I check my EAP scores?
In the late summer, students will receive a copy of their STAR (Standardized Testing and Reporting) student report. This report indicates how well you performed on the 11th grade standardized tests. You can find your EAP math and English results on the back side of your STAR report.

if you fail to pass this test, your punishment is that you will be required to take and pass a 4th year of an advanced math course called Precalculus during your Senior Year or you will not graduate. There are 29 questions on this SBAC 11th Grade Practice math test (there are many more on the real SBAC math test).
Is a 4 on the SBAC good?
In above example, the student has scored 2654 points and is at performance level 3 which is proficient. Smarter Balanced considers students that are consistently performing at Levels 3 and 4 to be where they need to be in terms of college and career readiness.
