Rokon is an American Rochester, New Hampshire-based motorcycle manufacturer that builds two-wheel-drive off-road motorcycles which are marketed either under the company’s name, or as the “Trail Breaker”. Robert Korpi was also owner of Rokon International from about 1976 to 1990. Rokon Motorcycles.

Where are Rokon motorcycles made?
In 1964, Larsen created Rokon and bought the manufacturing rights to the Trail-Breaker and marketed the bikes from their Vermont office. Subsequent sales of the company placed it in Wilmington, Vermont, then Keene, Jaffrey and Portsmouth with Thomas Blais’s purchase of the business in 1992.

How does a Rokon work?
How does the Rokon Trail-Breaker AWD system work? The front-wheel-drive design is simple yet effective. It deploys a straight shaft from the fixed 3 gear engine which meets a clutched uni-join (transfer box) between the front handlebars. This then drives a sprocket, which drives a chain linked to the front wheel.

Stand on left hand side, put the front brake on with two fingers of your left hand, throttle closed, reach over the Rokon and pull the starter handle. For a cold start put the choke on. Once the engine turns over, set the choke off. Pull on the starter again and the vehicle will start.
