Pretty much any Bluetooth controller will work with an Android or iPhone for emulation.

If you don’t mind using Devolution it works with wired xbox 360 controllers fine without the need for anything extra but devolution requires owning the original gamecube games to use it. Don’t know reguarding the emulators. Xbox controllers use XInput rather than standard USB HID messages so they don’t work the same.

Question Answered! I recently homebrewed my Wii and have been able to run Wii games, ps1 games through WIISXR and GameCube games through Nintendont. For the Wii and ps1 games I have used either GameCube or Wii controller but for Nintendont I have only used GameCube.
Should I buy a GameCube controller for GC Games?
If you just hate using the Gamecube controller than either stick with the Classic controller (looks like a SNES controller) for GC games or buy a used PS3 controller. There is an .ini file for the Nvidia Shield controller if you have one. I’ve been saying for over a year that I would test this, but I still haven’t done it.
