What is the latest surgery for acid reflux?

Short-term results appear favorable in carefully selected patients; however, long-term studies have not yet been completed.
Who is not a candidate for Linx surgery?
Patients with weak esophageal peristalsis or hiatal hernias larger than 2 cm are not candidates for the LINX® procedure. No preparation is required for the procedure itself.
Is Linx surgery painful?
If needed, these tubes usually need to stay in place for the entire day after surgery. POSTOPERATIVE PAIN: Pain from the incisions is normal. It will vary from day to day and with activity level, but should gradually decrease over time. Mild esophageal pain is also common and can feel like heartburn.
