What is the difference between 0g and 00g?
The half size between 2g and 0g is 7mm, also known as 1g. The half size between 0g and 00g is 9mm and is occasionally called 00g.
How long should I wait to stretch from 0g to 00g?
6g to 4g – 3-4 months. 4g to 2g – 3-4 months. 2g to 0g – 4-5 months. 0g to 00g – 4-6 months.
What is the next size up from 00g?

After 00g, we run out of gauge sizes, so we use fractions of an inch instead. The next size after 00g is 7/16″. The sizes go up by 1 sixteenth of an inch from there, but they’re reduced fractions, so instead of 8/16″, we just say 1/2″.
What size gauge can you not go back from?

Why can’t you use Vaseline to stretch your ears?

Why do my gauges smell?
The stink in your ear comes from dead skin and oil produced by your skin called sebum. The sebum and the dead skin get trapped in your piercings if you constantly keep your plugs/tunnels in. It is a result of sebum and dead skin being trapped in your hole.
Why do stretched ears smell?
Why does this happen? Your body secretes a substance called sebum, sebum is an oily secretion which helps your skin keep lubricated and keep it waterproof. The sebum mixes with the dead skin cells between your ear and the jewellery to make this unpleasant odour.
When can I start dead stretching?
Dead stretching is a waiting game. We recommend waiting around 6 to 8 weeks between stretching from one gauge to the next at the smaller gauges. When you get into the larger gauges (over 0 gauge) it is recommended to wait even longer (12-14 weeks).
Will my ears go back to normal after 00g?
Most people can go between 2g (6mm) – 00g (10mm) and expect their ears to revert back to a normal piercing, after a few months of healing. If you don’t want stretched ears forever, be sure to stretch slowly and never skip sizes.
How long does it take 00 gauges to close?
Once it fits properly, go down another size until you reach the smallest gauge. Once you reach this point, your hole should be able to close on its own. This entire process usually takes at least 2 months.
