Are all Shimano 105 cassettes compatible?
All Shimano and SRAM cassettes up to 10 speed are broadly compatible. They all use Shimano’s Hyperglide II freehub body spline pattern. Cassettes with the same number of sprockets have the same sprocket spacing, sprocket width and overall width.
Is an Ultegra cassette better than 105?
There is a difference in the materials used. Ultegra dual control levers have carbon-fibre reinforced plastic brackets and main levers while 105 has glass-fibre reinforced plastic brackets and aluminium main levers. The 105 levers are a little heavier but you won’t notice any difference in performance.
Can a 11-speed cassette fit on a 10 speed hub?
These cassettes are pre-machined and will fit directly onto 10 speed freehub bodies and are available in 11-25, 11-28, and 11-32t. However, if you already have an 11 speed cassette that you wish would fit other wheels*, Lasco Concept will machine it for you.
