How long are Theatre tokens valid for?
Theatre Tokens have no expiry date so as long as they haven’t already been redeemed you can use them. For security reasons, some older versions of our Theatre Tokens will need to be replaced before using. We call these our ‘legacy vouchers’ and you can find out more here.
Can you take your own food into the Birmingham Hippodrome?
Please don’t do it. Only food and drink purchased at Birmingham Hippodrome may be taken into the auditorium. Plastic glasses are provided at the bars. Any alcohol purchased outside of the venue will be removed and returned to you at the end of the performance.

Starting with the most casual, the Hippodrome has no formal dress code. The overall message is that you can wear whatever you want, within reason. The website explicitly states that jeans and trainers are fine, the only rule is the appearance “should be of an acceptable standard”.

Mainly because the smell spoils the atmosphere for other inside the theatre. Obviously we have products on sale inside at reasonable prices so you don’t need to worry about bringing your own food or drink. If people had diary problems or just certain tastes, then we don’t mind outside products being brought in.
