What should I bring to snow tubing?
Snow pants & jacket, boots, gloves, a hat, scarf, good socks, a base layer and mid layer (non-cotton) are recommended. Wear a jacket with a upper pocket or arm sleeve to store your tubing ticket.
Is Camelback Mountain closed today?

What should I wear to go snow tubing?
Waterproof ski/snow pants are recommended since wearing 100% cotton clothing (sweatpants, jeans, etc.) will absorb moisture from snow and sweat. In addition, a warm hat, waterproof gloves, sunglasses and hiking boots or waterproof shoes are needed. Ski boots are normally prohibited for safety reasons.
Why is Camelback Cholla closed?
Cholla Trail, a popular hiking area on the east of Camelback Mountain, has been closed since 2020 after a 300-pound boulder fell on a hiker. The City of Phoenix closed the trail for repairs, but also to move the trailhead away from Cholla Lane. The existing trailhead is at the end of a quiet residential street.
