Do you have to book for the gondola?

Yes you will need to make a reservation as at times the Skyline dinner can be booked out. The best way to do this package is to buy the Gondola, Dinner & Haka which is $110 per Adult and $54 per Child, then purchase your Luge rides when you arrive.

The track is a 2.4 km long walk that ascends to the 333 metres (1,093 ft) high summit takes about an hour to walk in one direction. The number 28 Lyttelton/Rapaki bus can be used to connect between the ends of the walk.

Can you do Luge without gondola?

No. The Luge tracks will not take you down to the Gondola base. You will complete all Luge rides at the end of the Luge track which is at the Skyline complex. Once all Luge rides and other activities are completed, you can then take the Gondola back down to the base.
