Who funds the NJEA?
Funded by hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars, the NJEA’s severely underreported political war chest dwarfs the competition. The NJEA spends many times more on political action than is reported and is by far the most powerful special interest—and political force—in the state.
Why are union dues so high?
Unions use their monopoly position the same way corporations do. They raise their prices and pay their employees more. Because workers in non–right-to-work states cannot opt out, unions have little incentive to hold down either dues or labor costs.
