How was Khonsu worshipped?
During the New Kingdom, Khonsu was worshiped, primarily in Thebes, as a benevolent god and was given a temple in the Temple of Karnak built for his father. As we see in the Pyramid Texts, however, Khonsu was a violent and cannibalistic god in the Old Kingdom who ate hearts of other gods.
