Is Llyn Brenig open for fishing?
From 1st November each year, Llyn Brenig offers some amazing Pike Fishing from boat or pegs. Dead sea bait and fishing lures over 6 inches are allowable over winter, with the option of overnight fishing for the hardy angler.

Llyn Brenig is a reservoir located on Denbigh Moors in North Wales. The artificial lake, which was constructed between 1973 and 1976, was created by building an embankment dam across the Afon Brenig valley. It lies at 1,200 ft (370 m) above sea level on the border between the counties of Conwy and Denbighshire.

From Wednesday 4 August 2021 visitors to Llyn Brenig will be able to hire either a sit on kayak or stand-up paddleboard for two-hour sessions. They will also be provided with wetsuits, buoyancy aids and helmets, although visitors are welcome to bring their own, if they have them.

How do I get to Gors Maen Llwyd nature reserve?
Leave Gors Maen Llwyd Nature reserve via the gate. Carry straight on over a stone bridge known as Pont Brenig and take a left at the next junction. Take the track which follows the shore of the lake all the way back to the centre. Through ‘two gates’ over Pont Brenig and left at the top.
