The outdoor theatre will open at full capacity, utilizing each of its nearly 11,000 seats, including the 1,500 free seats offered nightly on a first come, first served basis. The 2021 season lineup includes: Smokey Joe’s Cafe | July 26 – Aug. 1.

The Muny is a casual theatre. As St. Louis summers can be quite hot, we recommend light and loose clothing. Most people wear dress shorts, khakis, polos, sleeveless tops or summer dresses.

How early should you get to The Muny?
Be prepared to sit in the sun for a couple of hours and make new friends. If the show isn’t a “kid show”, or if the weather is crazy hot, you can probably arrive between 6:30 and 7 and still get good seats. After 7:30, all bets are off and you are on your own. If you do it right, you will thoroughly enjoy the Muny.

Yes. Outside food and drinks are allowed at The Muny. You can also take in a soft-sided cooler, but it has to be able to fit under your seat. Hard-sided coolers, outside alcohol, aluminum cans and lawn chairs are only allowed in the preshow picnic area.
