Why was Naxxramas removed?
They removed the original because they did not want to design a new raid from scratch and altered the 60 version into 80. Original Naxxramas in code mostly still exists. There are still a few visual bugs inside the instance that have existed since the release.
Is Naxxramas available in TBC?
It was available all throughout TBC though. Kemurai is correct, Naxx was present through all of tbc, up to WotLK prepatch. Level60 Naxx was not removed from the game until WOTLK, where it was moved to Northrend and turned into the new 10/25man level 80 version. So you can raid Naxx in TBC if you want.
Does NAXX go away in prepatch?
Even if you logged out inside naxx when prepatch hits, you will actually zone out into dragonblight for a moment before the game ports you out of northrend. It’s not as easy as you think it is. Once in prepatch the old raid is gone forever, caput, it doesn’t exist, nor the loot tables nor the coding, nothing.
