Will the monkeys at Longleat damage your car?
Our cheeky monkeys may well climb on your car and can cause damage. Unfortunately, we can’t take responsibility for any damage or losses to your car including spoilers, trims, roof racks, number plates, accessories and parking sensors (which are their favourite).

Can you avoid the monkey enclosure at Longleat?
Yes, you can bypass the monkey enclosure if you don’t want them on your car but in all honesty, you miss the best bit of the park. It’s so funny to watch them jumping from car to car and the chances of any serious damage been done is slim. I’ve never seen monkeys pull trim off or really damage cars.

We suggest making a small ‘loo bag’ for yourself with a small bottle of hand sanitizer, biodegradable toilet paper or wipes and brown paper bags. Always go to the toilet at the lodge just before you leave for your game drive – it’s the last plumbed loo you will see for at least three hours!

There are plenty of venomous snakes and scorpions around that could bite you. Don’t walk around at night in areas where you know there is wildlife present that can be potentially harmful to you. That includes the beaches and around lakes where hippos graze between tents on a camping safari. Also, be careful in towns.
