Can you swim in Python Pool?
Python Pool is located within the picturesque Millstream-Chichester Range National Park, south of Roebourne. It is a stunning spot for a swim in a cool refreshing rock pool whilst enjoying the spectacular backdrop of the imposing rugged ochre cliffs.

Swimming in the pool Fish and freshwater turtles live in the deep pool. There is a sandy section directly under the cliffs descending to around 5m depth.
Is the road to Python Pool sealed?
All other roads to and from Millstream Chichester National park are unsealed except for a small section of road at Python Pool. If towing a van on unsealed roads is not your cup of tea, you can access Millstream from the north via sealed Warlu Road near the Karratha Truck Stop on the NorthWest Coastal Highway.
Is the road from Karratha to Millstream sealed?
Access to the Millstream Chichester National Park is via a sealed road. The turnoff is just 15 minutes from Karratha, or if you are travelling on the Roebourne/Wittenoom Road, the turnoff is 28 kilometres south east of Roebourne.
Can you stay at Millstream?
The campground itself has 15 camp-sites that can accommodate caravans, camper trailers, campervans and tents. Gas barbecues are provided. Campfires are not permitted. Campers are advised to bring enough drinking water for the duration of their stay.

Can you have a fire at Millstream?
Camping areas at Millstream are Miliyanha and Stargazers Campgrounds and online bookings are essential for stays from 1 July 2020. Solid fuel fires are not permitted in the park under any circumstances. Both campgrounds have barbeque facilities but use of personal gas cooking appliances is also welcome.
Can dogs go to Millstream?

Can I take my dog to karijini?
If you are travelling with pets, please do not attempt to take them into the National Park. The Shire of Ashburton has kennelling facilities, however bookings need to be made well in advance as there are limited places. Bookings are essential and fees apply.
Is the road from Karratha to karijini sealed?
The road to the Karijini Visitors Centre and Dales gorge are sealed; the road to the Karijini Eco retreat is sealed except for the last 3kms. All other roads are unsealed and while these roads are graded regularly, it is still recommended that you drive at a slow, safe speed.
Is Nanutarra road sealed?
Nanutarra Munjina Road From North West Coastal Highway at the Nanutarra Roadhouse, it travels east-south-east towards Paraburdoo–Tom Price Road. The sealed road turns here towards Paraburdoo, but Nanutarra Munjina Road continues as an unsealed road for most of its remaining length.

You can’t take your dog into the Bungle Bungles because it is part of Purnululu National Park. But dogs are allowed at the Bungle Bungles Caravan Park, so long as they are well behaved and kept on a leash.
Do you need a car in Karijini?
Outside of the main area of the park lies Hamerserly Gorge, a 55km drive from the western entrance of the park. You do not need a 4WD to visit Karijini, but a 4WD is definitely recommended! The roads are all unsealed red gravel.
Do you need a four wheel drive to go to Karijini?
You do not need a 4WD to get around in Karijini National Park. I visited with my 2WD SUV and had no issues driving on the unsealed roads within Karijini. Take it slowly and you should be fine, we saw 2WD campervans in the park during our time there.
Is the road from Tom Price to Exmouth sealed?

Can you take a caravan into the Bungle Bungles?
Caravans are strictly forbidden on the Bungle Bungles access track. You can leave your van at the secure storage facility at Warmun Roadhouse.
