As a trustee, board member and major benefactor, Dame Elisabeth played a major role in making the McClelland Gallery and sculpture park what it is today. In honour of the Dame’s tireless contribution over her lifetime the Elisabeth Murdoch Walk was opened in June 2011 to coincide with the gallery’s 40th anniversary.

For visitors to The Weston ONLY, free parking is available at the eastern entrance to YSP. You will not have access to the rest of the YSP grounds, galleries, cafes and shop without a ticket.
Can you just walk into the Yorkshire Sculpture Park?
All visitors need to pre-book to enter YSP, whether you come by car, bike or on foot. Bring your ticket and keep it with you during your visit, either on a phone or printed.

How long does it take to go around Yorkshire Sculpture Park?

It can take almost three hours to walk all the way around. Yorkshire Sculpture Park certainly can’t be seen in full in a day so it’s a great place to return to. There is also no toilets on the long walk around so make sure you stop off at the cafe.
Do you have to pay to walk around Yorkshire Sculpture Park?
You pay for parking but there is no entrance fee. Current parking is £7.50 which is nothing when you consider what it includes and how long you would spend there. The exhibitions change regularly so I go as often as possible.
