What is a burger tune?
The JB4 is a plug and play tune available for turbocharged vehicles. The JB4 tuner installs between your car’s sensors and its DME/ECU (computer) and manipulates vehicle performance through these connections making your vehicle much faster.
How much horsepower does JB4 add?
In short: yes. A general rule of thumb is 10hp for every 1 psi of boost added. That’s a rough estimate, so take it with a grain of salt, but yah. That plus theoretically lower IATs with the FMIC and a freer flowing turbo with the DP and yah, 60hp is about right.

Does a JB4 tune void warranty?
The JB+ or JB4 does not void your warranty. However if there is a failure or a part that could be attributed to the aftermarket device, that warranty claim could well be denied.
Is a JB4 tune worth it?

Is MHD better than JB4?
MHD offers some very cost effective back-end flash maps for the JB4. The back-end flash shifts the timing, VANOS, and fueling to the flash side while the JB4 retains its more accurate boost control, in-dash gauges, E85 autotuning, and various safety features.
What’s the difference between jb1 and jb4?
So as I understand it, the big difference in the products is the jb1 is just plug and play and there isn’t much adjustment whereas the jb4 has multiple maps and each one can be customized.

Do piggyback tunes work?
A piggyback tune is similar to a “chip” tune in that it plugs directly into the ECU (also known as the DME). It does NOT re-write the factory ECU tune, though. Rather, piggyback tunes alter certain signals and sensors to accomplish the tunes goal.
Will a JB4 void warranty?
Do I need JB4 with MHD?
No, you need MHD to load custom tune. You will not need JB4. So you either do JB4 BEF + MHD or you yank JB4 out and just use MHD with their flash options or get a custom tune. Remember you can still get custom BEF to keep JB4 if you want, but personal opinion yank JB4 and go custom flash.
Do you need JB4 to use MHD?
Ideally you’d want both. JB4 has some great features MHD doens’t have and flash tuning does some things not possible JB4 only. If you get the JB4 they give you free MHD flash maps so you save on having to buy maps and custom tuning too. JB4 has more features for the N55 IMO.
Can you change JB4 maps while driving?
Yes, JB4 maps can be changed while driving using the steering wheel controls or JB4 mobile app.
