What is AR testing for books?
The Accelerated Reader program is a computerized program that tests reading comprehension. Students select books on their reading level, read independently, and take an independent comprehension test on the computer. Each book is worth a certain number of points based on its length and reading level.
Can you take AR reading test at home?
Due to the coronavirus and students working from home, we are providing students with access to the Accelerated Reading program outside of school. This will enable students to read books and take quizzes from the comfort of home.
How long does it take for a book to get an AR test?
The book review process takes 3 to 6 months. Use that time to check on your book’s distribution. In order for the book to be added to the AR catalog it needs to be available through major school library suppliers.
