Who can join the Educational Opportunity Program UCSB?
Joining EOP is an option for all students at UCSB. We have two categories of membership, one is a regular member (those admitted during admission to UCSB) and Associate membership.
How do I get a EOP grant?
EOP students are eligible to receive an EOP grant if they qualify for financial aid, however they are not guaranteed to receive one. Students must complete and file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and other documents as required by the Financial Aid Office at the campus they have been admitted to.
Do UC schools have EOP?
EOPs are available at California State University and University of California campuses. However, while each California State University campus has an EOP, the only University of California schools that have an EOP are UC Berkeley, UC Davis, UC Santa Barbara, and UC Santa Cruz.
Does UCSB give merit scholarships?
Scholarship is awarded to UCSB undergraduates majoring in the sciences who demonstrate academic merit and financial need.
Who qualifies for the EOP program?
To be eligible for admission to EOP you must be: A New York State resident for 12 months prior to enrollment; Require special admissions consideration; and. Qualify as economically disadvantaged according to the guidelines.

The Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) provides assistance through mentorship, academic programs, financial assistance, counseling/advising, and other campus support services to those who are first-generation college students, and/or from low-income and educationally disadvantaged backgrounds.

Do UCS care about legacy?
Per long-established UC Regents policy, UC forbids legacy admissions and does not grant preferential admission to the children of alumni or donors.
Does legacy matter for UCSB?
